Francesco Elia, a native of Ferrere, was the waiter of Count Vittorio Alfieri from 1766 to 1785 who described him as "a man of very clever genius".
The house of the waiter Elia, now completely renovated, is privately owned.
The house is part of the "Alfieri's Route", a 12-stage route that winds along the streets of Asti and its province.
The signage of the route has been renewed by the Rotary Club Asti.
